Egypt’s Tobacco

CAIRO - Eastern Tobacco Co EAST.CA, Egypt’s only cigarette maker, reported an 8 percent rise in net profit for the 2007/2008 financial year on Monday to 751 million Egyptian pounds ($141 million).

The company said in a statement the unaudited results compared with a net profit of 696 million pounds in the previous year.
